British Sign Language
British Sign Language (BSL) is the first or preferred language of over 87,000 deaf people in the UK.
Whether you're learning BSL for personal growth, professional development, or to support others, our courses offer a welcoming and supportive environment. Guided by experienced BSL users who bring the language to life through immersive, visual learning, you will progress from basic communication to more advanced conversational and vocational skills.
Through these courses you will:
- communicate confidently in a range of everyday and workplace situations
- understand Deaf culture and the importance of inclusive communication
- build confidence in using BSL in both social and professional contexts

Careers
Future roles of those that continue in the career path of BSL can include:

- becoming a BSL/English Interpreter
Learning BSL will not only give you the opportunity to learn a beautiful, visual language, but it will also have a positive effect on your interpersonal, communication and memory skills as well as making it easier for learning any future languages.
