What is special about this course?

Designed for those who can communicate in straightforward British Sign Language (BSL), this course builds on your existing knowledge and skills.

Through topics such as personal identity, employment, current affairs, and the social and physical environment, you'll learn how to express ideas more clearly and communicate with greater accuracy and confidence. You'll also develop your ability to understand and use BSL across a variety of personal, social and professional contexts

Special features: 

  • Develop practical BSL communication skills through hands-on learning and real-world activities
  • Build confidence using BSL in a wider range of personal, social and professional situations
  • Study through a blended learning approach, offering flexibility alongside tutor support

  • Completion of British Sign Language (SCQF Level 5) 

OR

  • Experience in basic British Sign Language use

This is a practical based course with face-to-face classes on campus supplemented with our Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).
