Horticulture

Offering a hands-on, nature-focused learning experience for those passionate about plants, sustainability, and working outdoors, our Horticulture courses have a strong emphasis on practical skills. Based at the Biblical Garden  beside the iconic Elgin Cathedral you will gain hands-on experience in plant care, garden design, and landscape maintenance. 

With flexible courses ranging from entry level to HNC, you will:

  • work on real life projects and support the upkeep of this tourist attraction
  • explore plant biology, garden design, landscape maintenance, production horticulture, and even social and therapeutic horticulture
  • build skills for careers including landscaping, conservation, greenkeeping

Our courses

You will study in a first-class learning environment full time or part time on a flexible basis from only one day per week

We also offer a range of Apprenticeships and SVQs which combine work with study, so you can earn while you learn.
