Stephen Gertson

I have several years of experience working in sports development and elite coaching, which I draw on to enrich my teaching with real-world insights and practical knowledge. I’m passionate about lecturing because it gives me the chance to support and inspire students as they progress through their studies. Helping learners build their confidence, develop new skills, and reach their potential is what I find most rewarding about the role.

My qualifications include:
Masters in Elite Performance, Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy, Postgraduate Diploma in Elite Coaching Practice, Level 4 Table Tennis Coaching Award, 1st4sport Level 3 Certificates in both Tutoring and Assessment, BSc (Hons) in Sports Development, Teachers Qualification in Further Education, and the Conduct the Internal Verification Process Award.
