Course fees
Tuition fees and funding can vary depending on the course you choose, study route, and your individual circumstances. This may include tuition fee funding, fee waivers or grant support, depending on the level of course and your eligibility.
If you're applying to study with us, we'll guide you through the process and our Admissions team will contact you if any additional forms or evidence are required after you apply.
Further Education
If you're studying an NC, NQ, SVQ or IMI course, your tuition fees may be covered through different funding routes depending on how you study.
For many students studying full time for the first time and who meet the residency requirements, tuition fees are covered through funding from the Scottish Funding Council (SFC). We use the information provided in your course application to claim this funding on your behalf.
If you're studying part time and are on a low income, you may be eligible for a Further Education Part-Time Fee Waiver, which can cover the cost of your course fees. If you are not ordinarily resident in Scotland, we will contact you to discuss your fee status and any action required.

Your fee liability will be confirmed once we have processed your application, enrolment and any funding applications.
Where fees are not covered by funding, payment will be required from either you or your sponsor. If your employer or another organisation is paying your fees, confirmation of sponsorship will be required before enrolment.
Students undertaking an additional part-time course alongside a full-time programme should note that separate tuition fees may apply. Funding for your main course does not automatically extend to additional courses.
Any fee exemption or payment by a sponsor for full time course fees does not cover or extend to additional courses and the fees.

You will most likely be classified as SC - Scottish domiciled student - for fee purposes and the following fees will apply.

Higher Education
If you're studying an HNC, HND, degree or other higher education course, tuition fees are usually funded through the Student Awards Agency Scotland (SAAS) for eligible full-time students.
If you're studying part time, you may be eligible for the SAAS Part-Time Fee Grant, which can help cover the cost of your tuition fees.
Applications for tuition fees, student loans and bursaries are made directly to SAAS. They will assess your eligibility and contact you about the support available to you. If you've previously received funding for higher education study, or you do not meet the residency requirements, you should seek advice from SAAS before applying.
