Course fees

content

If you are looking to study full time, it may be that your course fees can be covered through the main sources mentioned below.

If you are looking to study part time and are on a low income you may be able to apply for a Part time course (FE) fee waiver or the SAAS Part time Fee Grant for your course fees to be covered.

There are different claim forms and criteria depending on whether your course is a further education or higher education course. You will be contacted by our Admissions team to complete one of these claim forms.

Further Education

For NC, NQ, SVQ or City & Guilds (FE) full time course fees, normally, if you are studying full time for the first time and a Scottish Resident your course fees will be covered through the information you provide on your course application. We will claim the course fees for you from the Scottish Funding Council (SFC). This funding is based on your Ordinary residence in Scotland, if you are not an ordinary resident of Scotland, we will contact you and let you know what action is required.

NC, NQ, SVQ or City & Guilds (FE) part time course fees may be covered by the Further Education Part time course (FE) fee waiver. This form can be printed and taken to the Benefits Agency (DWP) to stamp and then send to our registry team by email attaching a photo/scan of all the pages to MC.Registry.Moray@uhi.ac.uk. Alternatively, you can complete your personal details within the document, save it to your device and email to MC.Registry.Moray@uhi.ac.uk

Alternatively, if you are paying the Course Fees yourself or through a sponsor the fees can be found below:

Your fee liability will be determined when we process your course application, enrolment and where applicable, your course Funding application.

Unless being met by one of the awarding bodies listed in the Student Finance pages of the website, the course fees will be payable on receipt of an invoice to you or your sponsor.

Where an employer/sponsor is to pay your course fees, you will need to forward confirmation of their accepting liability for the course fee. Instructions for this and online payment will be advised to you when you are offered a place on the course.

Where you decide to undertake part time study in addition to a full-time course, you should note that fees will be payable for the separate part time course. Any fee exemption or payment by a sponsor for full time course fees does not cover or extend to additional courses and the fees.
