Students win top beauty prizes.
3 SVQ level 2 and 3 students have scooped top prizes in the 2013 North East Hair & Beauty Festival
The festival was held Aberdeen Beach Ballroom, Monday 25th November and as alway was frantic, fast, adrenaline fuelled events with this year proveing to be no exception. The Festival provided a great learning experience for all of our competing students who did exceptionally well and were a credit to the Beauty department and Moray College UHI.
After a long and emotional day, our Beauty Therapy students and staff came home with more experience and 3 students placed; given we entered only 3 (very busy)categories, a brilliant result.
Katelyn Watson, Elgin (SVQ Level 2 Beauty Therapy) : 1st in Manicure – Katelyn came onto SVQ Level 2 via our schools programme.
Lisa Simons, Nairn (SVQ Level 3 Beauty Therapy): 2nd in Manicure – Lisa also came to us via our schools programme.
Lucy Fraser, Nairn (SVQ Level 3 Beauty Therapy): 2nd in Fantasy Make-Up – Lucy did an interpretation of The Lion King to meet the “Musicals” criteria.
