Moray SWAP’s In-Work Upskilling project provides support and funding to help you enhance your abilities and achieve greater impact within your workplace.

Funding is available to gain

  • accredited qualifications
  • vocational training
  • industry-recognised certifications

to support career advancement, increase your income, and ultimately improve household income.

It's important to understand that working more than 16 hours a week does not mean your Universal Credit will stop.

Throughout the project, you will receive ongoing guidance and support from a dedicated Employability Coordinator, who will work closely with you to ensure your progress and success.

Reducing child poverty is a key priority and this project aims to support this by offering you (parents that meet the criteria below) the opportunity to overcome barriers to progressing in your career.

  1. Submit your details using the enquiry form.
  2. A member of the Moray SWAP team will contact you for an initial discussion to assess your eligibility and explore potential support options, including accredited qualifications, vocational training, and industry-recognised certifications.
  3. Engage in discussions with your employer (if appropriate) to outline the proposed support and opportunities for development.
  4. Attend a face-to-face meeting to complete the necessary paperwork and formalise your participation.
  5. Undertake the agreed training which may be accredited qualifications, vocational training, and industry-recognised certifications.
  6. Engagement and support continues as part of your journey to support career advancement.
