First Social Science Student Conference on Friday 5th February 2016

Moray College Social Sciences team have invited the Campaign for Social Sciences to join them in hosting this event for UHI students and local/national employers. The speakers will share their experience of the Social Sciences and how the various disciplines have contributed to their professional journey.

Please join us for the first Social Science FE/HE Student Conference on Friday 5th February 2016 from 10am to 3pm in the Alexander Graham Bell Centre.

The purpose of the day is to find out from leading Social Scientists what their background in these subjects has helped them to do. We have a number of speakers including Prof Jennifer Smith who is currently doing a study of the Buckie dialect and we have the former Permanent Secretary to the Scottish Government speaking from the Government offices in Edinburgh via VC.

On hand there will be a range of local and national employers exhibiting information about career opportunities you may not even be aware of.

This is an event for YOU (UHI students) and we hope that you will really gain some insight into your future.

Lunch will be provided and has generously been sponsored by Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE).
