Volunteers required for research programme.

AccuNostics is a medical device company based in Forres and are looking for volunteers to support their research programme into diabetes.

AccuNostics are developing technologies which they believe will be of considerable benefit to people with diabetes, across the world. These include ways of improving the performance and accuracy of the blood glucose meters used by people with diabetes. In order to do this research the company require to collect small blood samples from volunteers. The samples are used by AccuNostics in laboratory based tests on devices used both by people with diabetes and healthcare professionals.

They are now looking for healthy volunteers and have approached the college for help. They are looking for people living within reasonable distance of their Research Facility in Forres, who are between the ages of 18- 65 years, and who do not have diabetes or any other significant medical condition that requires regular prescribed medication. Volunteers are paid £20 for each sample they provide.
