Trip to Scottish Parliament Tue 12 Nov

As part of our on-going citizenship agenda Brian Currie (Employability Officer) organised an educational visit for a number of students to the Scottish Parliament on Tuesday 12th November

The students enjoyed the experience and time to spend looking around Edinburgh before they went into the Parliament building. The visit included a very interesting interactive overview of how Acts of Parliament are made, a chance to meet and question 3 Moray MSP’s Mary Scanlon, Rhoda Grant and Jean Urquhart.

26 students accompanied Brian from across section of the College who were as usual a great credit to the college. They asked some very challenging and robust questions which was a delight to watch. The students also got the opportunity to visit the public gallery of the debating chamber to see how parliament works. A very worthwhile event.
