Robin Young

Robin Young is a senior executive leader in workforce development, corporate training, and strategic partnerships, with more than 15 years of experience helping organizations build talent, strengthen leadership capacity, and respond to evolving labour market needs. As Managing Director of Corporate Training Services at Durham College, he leads customized training solutions, sector partnerships, and revenue-generating initiatives that connect employers, communities, and post-secondary education.

Recognized as an award-winning learning professional, Robin has built a career at the intersection of business strategy and learning innovation. He has extensive expertise in organizational needs assessment, leadership development, and designing high-impact learning experiences that deliver measurable business results.

Over the last 15 years in the industry, Robin has led the design, development and implementation of learning and leadership development projects for clients in a wide range of sectors including aerospace, transport, education, retail, finance, lotto & gaming, automotive and skilled trades.

While currently residing in Canada, Robin has lived in both Ayr and Glasgow, hiked the Highland way, backpacked for 10 days across the isle of Skye and summited Ben Nevis. He holds an MBA from the University of the West of Scotland, a PG Certificate in Advanced Educational Studies from the University of Glasgow, a PGDE from the University of Strathclyde and a BA from the University of the West of Scotland.
