Rick May MBE

Rich joined the Royal Air Force in 2001. After nearly 25 years of service as an Officer, he has deployed to many locations and continues to lead, work with and for a diverse group of people.

For his military service he was awarded the MBE in the 2025 New Years Honour list.

An advocate for further education, Rich undertook an MBA over 3 years through remote learning with Staffordshire University. Earning his master’s degree in 2016.  He continues to seek opportunities to develop and challenge himself mentally and physically.

Rich is honoured to have the opportunity to be part of the UHI board.

He made Moray his home in 2014 and continues to love where he lives with his family and sprockers.
