Helen Foord

Helen is the Founder and CEO of ELE, one of the UK's leading content and copywriting agencies for the legal sector. A certified B Corp and Living Wage Employer, ELE is known for its work on ESG-focused communications and for supporting businesses to balance purpose and profit with social and environmental responsibility.

Helen brings over twenty years' experience across further and higher education, governance and organisational leadership. She previously served as Vice Chair of an FE college board during a period of significant structural change and capital expansion, and has advised universities including Oxford, Cambridge, Oxford Brookes and the University of the West of England on strategy and engagement. She has also held lecturing roles at Oxford Brookes and UWE.

Alongside her professional work, Helen contributes to a range of community and charitable organisations in Moray and beyond, including Holy Trinity Church in Elgin, the Spirit of Speyside Whisky School and the Rothes Sports Development Group. Earlier in her career, she worked with British Rowing to help establish adaptive rowing pathways in the UK, contributing to their integration into the Paralympic programme.

Based in Moray, Helen is committed to supporting the region she has made her home and to the role of further and higher education in enabling individuals and communities to thrive.
