GP Exercise Referral Training Course to be hosted at Moray College UHI

An exciting new professional development opportunity for sport, health & fitness practitioners and students will shortly be available at Moray College UHI.

From Monday 2 July until Friday 6 July, 9 am – 5 pm each day, the college will be hosting a GP Exercise Referral Training course which will be delivered by The Wright Foundation, a registered Scottish Charity based in Dundee.

The course is deemed to be the most comprehensive GP exercise referral course available. Prospective students for the course should have a relevant fitness qualification, an understanding of Exercise & Fitness theory and relevant leisure industry experience. For further information and/or to apply for a place on the course prospective students should visit www.wrightfoundation.com or contact The Wright Foundation on 0845 056 0260.

Credit for the course being made available in Moray must go to Jo Smithson, an HNC Fitness,Health & Exercise student at Moray College UHI. Jo found out about The Wright Foundation whilst on a work placement as part of her course and managed to persuade the charity to bring the course to Moray, thereby enabling people to access the course locally instead of having to travel outside of Moray.

Commenting on the course being offered locally at Moray College UHI, Jo said:

“It is a brilliant opportunity to participate in a course which has previously not been delivered further north than Edinburgh and gain high quality skills.”
