Scottish Vocational Qualifications (SVQs)

Scottish Vocational Qualifications (SVQs) combine work with study, allowing you to gain a nationally recognised qualification while continuing in employment. Designed to use your workplace as your classroom they help you develop your skills, knowledge and confidence while demonstrating competence in your role.

For those working in a variety health and social care settings, completing an SVQ also helps you meet the qualification requirements set by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC), supporting ongoing employment and career progression.
