James Walls

James has extensive experience in strategy, operations, and leadership in complex, high-pressure environments.

He served for twenty-five years in the Royal Air Force as a leader and pilot, operating Jaguar and Typhoon aircraft, working in procurement and at the strategic headquarters in Whitehall. He was Station Commander at RAF Lossiemouth, during a period of intense operations, the introduction of a new aircraft, and a concurrent, vast infrastructure program. He received the Distinguished Service Order in 2016 for leadership during active operations.

Originally from Australia, he studied History at Aberdeen University. He has enjoyed coaching youth rugby at Moray RFC for many years.
