Collaborating with a golf start-up to increase access and drive footfall on courses.

UHI Moray, in collaboration with golf start-up Member’s Guest, have developed a mobile app that allows users to host and book golf games, opening up under used guest slots on golf courses around the country.

The application uses a machine learning service to generate game recommendations from player & course data. By encouraging and capturing player interaction data (game bookings, games played, feedback, reviews, player preferences etc) the service grows in detail and nuance as the membership grows. The project has been funded through two Scottish Funding Council vouchers; Standard Innovation voucher, and Advanced Voucher.
