UHI Moray apprentices continue to excel in skills competitions
Electrical apprentices training at UHI Moray have performed successfully at the North Heat of the SECTT apprentice of the year which took place at Linkwood Technology Centre on the 3rd June.
In total 14 apprentices took part, from stage 1 and stage 2 and Adam Souter employed by MacDonald and Munro Ltd won in stage 2 and now goes on to compete in Edinburgh for the overall Apprentice of the year, while Matt Jameison employed by AES Solar took part in the Stage 1 competition.
Three additional apprentices from UHI Moray have also been successful recently in the SNIPEF Plumbing of the Year competition [SPAY 50] which took place on Friday 13th June at South Lanarkshire College.
Frazer Graham, employed by Moray Council won first place in the Lead Category, Kai Gray, employed by Cowie Plumbing and Heating won second place in the BPEC SkillPLUMB Copper Category and Sweyn Macaskill employed by Moray Council was 3rd in the SNIPEF sheet lead competition
