Local businesses can access course in Responsible Leadership and Management for Contemporary Business
Moray College UHI has received funding from the Scottish Funding Council to offer 15 FREE places to local businesses on a new fully accredited Responsible Leadership and Management for Contemporary Business 6-month programme.
The programme consists of 3 modules each studied over 2 months commencing on 13th January 2020:
- Responsible Leadership and Management for Organisational Performance
- Ethical Solutions for Global Business
- Sustainable Project Management
The programme, designed in partnership with a globally focused business will develop key management skills such as project management, finance, change management, staff motivation, organisational performance and leadership and management theories. Delivered through a responsible and ethical lens, the programme is designed to help businesses prepare for a sustainable future in an era focused on social and environmental responsibility.
Accredited by the University of the Highlands and Islands, the programme is delivered using a blended approach. Candidates attend Moray College UHI one day per month to explore the theoretical aspects to the course, and the rest using their own workplaces as the learning environment and case studies, exploiting real life challenges and opportunities and exploring ways to address those challenges. Online tutorials will be delivered via Video Conferencing and the college Virtual Learning Environment.
On completion of the programme candidates will achieve 60 degree credits at Level 8 (HND level) which can go towards the achievement of a full time degree qualification. The programme however, is primarily designed to improve professional practice in business.
Applicants interested in this programme should be working within a leadership/ managerial role and ideally already possess Level 6/7 qualifications [ie: at least 2 Highers/HNC].
