What is Clearing?
Traditionally “clearing” is how universities and colleges fill any places they still have on their courses. Nowadays clearing is used if:
- You are not holding any offers
- You didn't meet the conditions of your offer
- You are applying after Sunday 21 June
- You have decided to change your mind on your chosen course
Clearing is open from 2 July and closes on 19 October 2026.
To me UHI is a place where learning means more than education. Where I can gain confidence within my skill set. Where I am given new opportunities to continually grow and where I am free to be me.

Fees, Funding and Student Finance
Course fees - or tuition fees - cover key elements of your course and academic life. The amount of money you may have to pay for your course depends on a number of factors including where you come from, where you live and which course you want to study.
Our Student Finance Advisors can advise you on all aspects of funding, from tuition fees and bursaries to help with housing, childcare and travel costs.
