At UHI Moray, we’re both the Community College for Moray, and the delivery arm of the University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI) in Moray. That means we’re an integral part of the broad partnership that provides a tertiary offer of teaching, learning and research across the Highlands & Islands and beyond.
We are currently looking to recruit a suitably qualified individual into the permanent position of Head of Curriculum for the STEM areas (Engineering, Construction, Oil and Gas Centre, Science, Horticulture, Computing and Digital Media), to lead and manage curriculum areas as well as play a key role in the development of innovative curriculum programmes relating to strategic projects such as the Moray Growth Deal.
Ideally an engineering or construction specialist, the successful candidate will be educated to SCQF Level 9, with experience of managing and leading staff over a multidisciplinary curriculum, managing curriculum areas and experience and success in curriculum development and in managing the quality of subjects and courses. Teaching experience in a relevant area is essential for the post.
The successful candidate will possess the ability to think strategically and engage in strategic planning and evaluation of provision. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong leadership skills and a commitment to the College’s strategic values and its mission of transformation for both individuals and for the communities we serve are essential.
