Converge Challenge 2015 is open to staff and students of all Scottish Universities and Research Institutes and has a prize fund of over £100,000. They work with any idea, at any stage of the development process. Entry submissions have to be in by 1st May 2015.
A prize fund of £100,000 is available alongside great networking opprtunities and a comprehensive support and training package available for the winners, ensuring the best possible start for any business.
Over the last four years, the programme has attracted 260 applications, engaged with 120 projects, from which around 30% went on to create companies. Four out of five of these businesses have secured follow-on funding which currently stands at £10million. Converge Challenge is focused on developing the entrepreneurial skills of students and scientists through rigorous engagement over an 18 month period during which participants receive training, coaching and one-to-one mentoring as well as substantial cash prizes for the three winners.
