What is special about this course?

Scottish Vocational Qualifications (SVQs) combine work with study, so you can gain a recognised qualification without having to study full time.

This work-based qualification is designed for healthcare support workers who want to build confidence and develop their existing skills. With a mix of mandatory and optional units, you can tailor your learning to suit your role and supports your career goals.

Focusing on practice within your workplace setting, you'll develop a deeper understanding of how to work safely and professionally in a healthcare environment. With the guidance of an assessor, you'll use you will use your day-to-day responsibilities as a demonstration of knowledge and competence, building a portfolio that reflects what you can do in practice.
