What is special about this course?

There is always a need for skilled tradespeople in building and construction. 

This full time course is an ideal way of gaining an overall understanding of the Construction sector and has been designed to develop your skills in joinery, plumbing and electrical. 

You will study a range of subjects preparing you for further study, employment or an apprenticeship with local employers.

Entry requirements

  • Three National 4s, one of which must be a Maths related subject OR
  •  A relevant SCQF Level 4 course.
  •  Applications are encouraged from prospective students without the standard entry requirements as listed above

  • Employability and Behavioural Skills
  • Construction Numeracy
  • Communication
  • Construction: Information and Communication Technology 

Equipment

You will need to purchase PPE materials for this course (approx. £80) including safety footwear, workwear, glasses, work gloves, a retractable tape measure and/or a 1 metre fourfold rule. Other essential PPE will be supplied. If you qualify for a bursary these costs will be covered.
