What is special about this course?

This nationally recognised Elementary Food Hygiene qualification provides in-depth knowledge of safe and hygienic methods of handling and storing food.

If your job role requires you to prepare or serve food in a supervisory position, this course gives the key principles of food safety and why they are essential in protecting both customers and your workplace

Set by REHIS (The Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland) the course ends with a 2 hour written examination.

REHIS Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate or equivalent.

How will I study my course?

This course is delivered face-to-face on campus.

How long will my course last?

24 Hours

The course is designed to run in 2 hour blocks and can be delivered in any suitable combination to make up a total of 24 hours e.g. 12 x 2 hours, 4 x 6 hours, etc.

Course cost: £275 per person.

What can I do on completion of my course?

On successful completion of this course you will have a nationally recognised qualification. You may also progress onto the REHIS Advanced Food Hygiene Certificate at other institutions.
