This course is designed to provide you with a full range of experiences to enable you to embark on a career in Administration.

The course involves practical office work at our campus model offices.

Entry requirements

Three National 4s, one of which must be English

 or

satisfactory attainment of a SCQF Level 4 course.

Applications are encouraged from mature students who do not possess formal qualifications but have appropriate understanding and skills to meet the academic demands of the course.

Additional information for course delivery in 2021-22

From August/September 2021, it is our intention that physical campuses will be open to all students for access to study facilities, support services and social activities, subject to Scottish Government guidance. On successful completion of this course you can progress to further study which may include higher level courses including:

  • HNC Administration and Information Technology
  • HNC Business
  • HNC Accounting

If you wish to progress from NC Administration you must achieve the Group Award which must include the following two (SCQF Level 6) options:

  • HR Administration
  • Administrative Theory and Practice

Alternatively, you can enter employment within a diverse range of office settings using a range of administrative skills.
