Hospitality - Whisky Course College Certificate

What is special about this course?

This course will provide a grounding in the history of whisky making, the production process and marketing of the product. You will develop skills in nosing and tasting.

In particular, it will focus on developing an appreciation of the general characteristics of the different styles and types of Scotch whisky.

This course is especially relevant to those who work in Scotch whisky, hospitality, leisure & tourism and retail industries, but it is available to anyone aged 18 or above with an interest in whisky. At the end of this course
you will receive a UHI Moray Certificate.

Entry requirements

  • No formal entry requirements.
  • As whisky samples are an integral part of this course, only persons aged 18 years and above can apply.

How will I study my course?

  • Distance learning
  • Online

You will access all learning via your computer or device. Lectures and other sessions are timetabled and you will attend these remotely via video conferencing and our Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), with support from your lecturers.

How long will my course last?

Approximately 20 hours study online.

Unfortunately there is no funding available for Leisure Courses. Participants will therefore by liable for the full cost of this course.
