Baby Massage (CPD) College Certificate

What is special about this course?

This short course is designed for parents and carers to learn and practise baby massage.

Safe massage strokes for babies six weeks and older will be covered allowing the learner to bond with their baby and support baby’s development.

This course is not necessarily designed as a CPD for qualified therapists.  It is designed for any new parents who want to learn how to massage their new babies.

New parents/carers who want to learn skills for baby massage.

Equipment

Baby changing mat is required for the course and oil would be needed for home practice.

How will I study my course?

  • Part Time

The course will have practical demonstrations, discussions, leaflets and Power Point presentations.  You will practice practical work on your own baby.

3 Days

Thursdays: 10am-1pm

The good news is that depending on your personal circumstances there are a wide range of bursaries, grants and allowances available to fund your college studies.

What can I do on completion of my course?

You can progress on to the introduction to massage course available for CPD, allowing you to gain skills to perform basic massage. 

Further progression could also be into the FE or HE Complementary Therapies programme.
