Providing a perfect opportunity to school leavers or mature learners, this course offers an engaging programme of in-person material workshops without the commitment of a full year course.

Exploring the materials, methods and processes that support art and design activities, you will:

  • Understand the demands of full-time study.

No formal qualifications are required for entry.

Course content includes:

  • Introduction to materials, processes and technical skills in art and design.
  • Introduction to contextual research in art and design

This course also offers access to a programme of external speakers and artist talks from across the art and design industry.

    The good news is that depending on your personal circumstances there are a wide range of bursaries, grants and allowances available to fund your college studies.

    Additional costs

    You will need a small starter materials pack for this course. These packs are available to buy on site, as well as other materials from our shop (Appox. £50). 

    If you qualify for a bursary these costs will be covered. 

    What can I do on completion of my course?

    On successful completion of this course you may progress on to UAL Awarding Body Level 2 Award and Diploma in Art & Design.
