Engineering EAL Diploma Modern Apprenticeship

What is special about this course?

Modern Apprenticeships (MAs) offer anyone over the age of 16 the chance to earn while you learn. They are an exciting way of gaining a recognised qualification that will help to start your career without having to study full time.

This new SCQF Level 7 EAL Diploma is designed to support the development of apprentices working in a wide range of engineering and manufacturing settings in roles such as:

  • Machinist
  • Welder
  • Fabricators
  • Production Technician
  • Maintenance Engineer
  • Mechanical and Electrical Engineers
  • Rail Engineers
  • Electrical and Mechanical Fitters

The goal of the apprenticeship is to enable apprentices to develop and apply the required skills and knowledge for those either in manufacture, process and fabricating engineering environments, or in environments where they will fit, repair, replace, design and model engineering assets and components.

You will work with experienced colleagues in the workplace on real projects while putting into practice what you learn from our dedicated lecturers at our Linkwood Technology Centre.

This course will provide apprentice engineers with specific Trade Training as specified by the Engineering Sector Skills Council, ensuring that you will be highly qualified and skilled.
