Foundation Apprenticeship Social Services & Healthcare

I chose this course as it was suggested to me by my guidance teacher. It sounded like a good thing for me, so I went for it. The lecturers are good if you have a question, they will go over it as many times as you need. I have gained so much knowledge about care sector including the dos and don’ts. I intend to become a midwife and plan to go to university after completing my 6th year of school. This course has a lot of work but worth it, and people should come try it if interested in the healthcare profession. I really enjoy the atmosphere at college it feels calm and relaxed. The highlight for me has been meeting different people from other schools, made some good friends.

Foundation Apprenticeship Social Services Children & Young People

I took the course because it interested me as I want to work with young people in early years or social work. I feel that coming to college has given me confidence, I have become more independent and got better at speaking to new people. In my 2nd year of the FA I hope to get a placement at Milbank Primary School. My advice to anyone thinking about doing a FA is go for it, you don’t know what you are missing out on It’s a great opportunity. I find studying at Moray College has been inclusive, supportive and overall good place to study. For others thinking about coming should research what you want to do first and make sure you are making the right decision. My college experience in 3 words has been fun, interesting and inspiring.

Foundation Apprenticeship Social Services & Healthcare

I took the course as I wanted to get experience in healthcare for my future career. I have learned a lot about the industry and gained work experience in my current placement at Anderson’s Care Home, who have also taken me on as an employee, so I get paid for my work. My career goal is to become a Nurse and I plan to do a university course so that I can pursue this. My advice to anyone considering this course is to stick with it because it is an enjoyable experience in healthcare and you learn a lot.
