Meet the Science Team
Sam Bright, Science

Caitlin, HNC Applied Sciences
“The HNC prepared me for a career in the science industry and gave me the essential skills required to work in a laboratory environment. My lecturers were amazing and showed true passion for the subjects they taught which I feel really positively impacted my learning. I am now employed as a Lab Assistant and have recently been promoted."

Karen, BSc (Hons) Environmental Science
“I knew I wanted to work in conservation and have a practical job where I get to spend time outside and give our environment a helping hand. I progressed from the NC Applied Science course to the degree which gave me a really broad knowledge base about so many topics.”

James, Practical Science
"The small class sizes are really good because it means the learning experience is more personal and lecturers are able to spend time with you explaining things."

Sam, Head of Curriculum STEM
"The courses within the Science Department offer a range of opportunities for those looking to get back into education and those who want to try something new, especially as these courses lead to a variety of employment opportunities within food and drink, distilleries, working in laboratories or future progression into university courses."
