In collaboration with IBM, our new BSc (Hons) Applied Software Development degree available for September 2020, aims to address the skills gap helping you to gain core software development skills which can be applied to a variety of challenges. You will also have access to IBM's resources for cloud development and coding, giving practical experience of the tools used in emerging digital roles.

HND Sports Therapy

If you are interested in a career that involves working with people in the sports industry in the maintenance or improvement of their sporting performance and treating and rehabilitating injuries that affect their output, then this is the course for you.

This HND builds on the knowledge and skills of the HNC in Soft Tissue Therapy. In particular, it covers rehabilitation and taping techniques and develops your understanding of functional anatomy, clinical experience and team working required to work as a sports therapist.

This is an industry recognised qualification that prepares you for a career in sports therapy or to progress on to a degree in Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation, Integrative Healthcare or another higher education award in a related field.

The HNC Soft Tissue Therapy has been designed for those who want to perform hands-on treatments to people who participate in sport. The treatment could be designed to help an athlete optimise their performance, or help aid the recovery from injury diagnosed by an appropriate medical professional.  Achievement of the award would allow you to work with any athlete from recreational through to elite level performers.

Childcare and Men in Practice (CHAMP) SCQF Level 6

The new Childcare and Men in Practice (CHAMP) has been designed as an all men course, delivered in the evening to accommodate existing employment commitments. The Scottish Government recognises the need to diversify the early years workforce in order to ensure that children have access to positive male role models from an early age. 

This FREE course will be studied as a mix of face-to-face learning, online and project work.  All successful candidates will be offered an interview for HNC Childhood Practice at Moray College UHI as well as an interview with Moray Council at Early Years Support Worker level.

The demand for skilled workers means there’s never been a better time to find employment as a childcare worker.
