The Beechtree Restaurant, situated in the college, is home to our Hospitality and Tourism Academy. The Restaurant opens weekdays to the public, providing hands on, practical experience for students studying hospitality at all levels.
Beechtree Restaurant Covid-19 Update – September 7th, 2020
Although we had hoped to be in a different position, The Beechtree Restaurant remains closed at this time due to the current Covid-19 campus restrictions. The Hospitality Department will be using the facility as a classroom only and we will shortly be providing a take-away coffee service for staff and students who are timetabled to be in the building. The campus restrictions only allow for limited access to the building and for this to be by exception and by appointment only. Most staff and students will continue to work and study from home for the foreseeable future.
We are looking at ways of expanding the Beechtree offering in due course but we will not be able to consider reopening fully to the public until we move to the next phase of the Scottish Government Route Map. We will provide website and social media updates as and when this situation changes and we have some firm plans in place. Realistically, this is unlikely to be before January 2021, although we remain optimistic that positive changes will be possible before then.
We would like to thank everyone for their continued support and understanding during these unprecedented circumstances and we look forward to being able to welcome you to the Beechtree again in due course.
As always, your support in the Beechtree Restaurant is appreciated and we would like to thank you for your continued patience and understanding that the Beechtree is a classroom for our Hospitality students.
