Playwork and Early Education and Childcare NC Level 6

What is special about this course?

This course includes a National Progression Award in Playwork and Childcare. It is an ideal first stages qualification for anyone wishing to work as a nanny, childcare assistant, crèche worker or similar. It is an ideal qualification for anyone wishing to progress through Early Education courses such as NC Early Education and Childcare.

Five week block placement in February allows students the opportunity of increasing their work based and employability skills.

3 National 4 Courses, one of which must be English


satisfactory attainment of a SCQF Level 4 course,  along with a reference and evidence of work experience within a childcare setting.  Students will also be required to attend a pre-start event and take part in a taster day before starting the course.

Applications are encouraged from mature students who do not possess formal qualifications but have appropriate understanding and skills to meet the academic demands of the course.
