Computing with Digital Media NC (Level 5)

What is special about this course?

The course is designed to provide a structured progression to enable students to gain experience and develop a range of skills and knowledge for those interested in pursuing a career in the Computing and Digital Media industry.

Entry requirements

3 National 4s, one of which must be English
or
satisfactory attainment of any SCQF Level 4 course or equivalent.
Applications are encouraged from mature students who do not possess formal qualifications but have the skills to meet the academic demands of the course.

 

The course includes a variety of subjects to underpin key aspects of computing and digital media, such as:
• Hardware and Networking Skills
• Basic Programming Skills
• Communication Skills
• Still Image and Video Editing Skills
• Team Working Skills

How will I study my course?

  • Full Time
  • Part Time

The method of teaching is face-to-face lectures, tutorials and workbooks which the learners are able to work through at their own pace.  All material delivered in class is also available on our Virtual Learning Environment  including quizzes to test your knowledge.

The course is assessedby a variety of methods which includes:- portfolio evidence, open book tasks - practical and theoretical, closed book question papers.
