What is special about this course?
This Learning Step is ideal as a gentle introduction to Microsoft Excel. This Learning Step provides a gentle reminder of Learning Step 1 concepts and then proceeds with more advanced features of Microsoft Excel. These features include how to use cell references, protect and audit your workbook, add comments and advanced functions such as IF statements, PMT (calculates loan payments), FV (future values) and linking documents from other applications.
The programme is structured in a flexible manner in order to meet the needs of the student. You should access the right Step for your own level - this can be discussed with the Trainer.
These advanced features include -
- how to use cell references

What can I do on completion of my course?
You can progress on to a range of courses within the Short Course programme or the Learning Steps programme.
You also have the option to progress to the European Computer Driving Licence or the NC Digital Media Computing Level 5 course.
