This BCS Certified ICDL course (previously ECDL) is for the individual who wishes to improve themselves and demonstrate to employers that they are IT literate. It is recognised as a benchmark in IT for employers globally.
More and more jobs now require IT Skills in a wide range of areas. Having the ICDL qualification shows employers that you have IT skills that may put you ahead of others.

No formal entry qualifications are required, although a basic knowledge of computers is desired.
The ICDL syllabus is designed to cover the key concepts of computing, its practical applications and their use in the workplace and society in general. It comprises seven modules:
- IT Security
- IT user Fundamentals
- Internet and Email
- Word Processing
- Spreadsheet Software
- Database Software
- Presentation Software
Office 365 software is required for study which is available as a free download for students.
