English (Daytime) Higher

What is special about this course?

Higher English develops learners’ language abilities through the study of great literary works from various cultures. They will gain extensive skills in understanding, evaluation, comparison and analysis. The qualification is frequently an entry requirement for certain Higher Education or University courses.

Entry requirements

Standard Grade English at Credit level or Intermediate 2 English.

Mandatory units: Language Study; Literary Study; Folio of Work

The candidate must pass both unit assessments as well as the external assessment.

The external assessment takes the form of an examination consisting of two papers. The folio will be externally assessed for grading purposes
